APPLYING FOR EMERGENCY RELIEF
ELIGIBILITY
We operate from trust; if you need emergency financial assistance, we believe you. At this time, we are only able to grant a very few number of applicants with the $500 fund, so please apply if your financial need is imperative. You must meet the eligibility requirements listed below:
You are under 30 (OR) within three years of receiving a degree or certification (OR) within three years of beginning work as an arts professional.
You are involved in making art (from any discipline) happen, whether you create or administrate.

You are in dire financial need. You can't pay your monthly expenses/bills for the next two months, such as rent, groceries, healthcare, or other "survival" expenses.
PROOF OF ARTISTIC PRACTICE
We ask that you provide
at least one
sample of your work in the arts.
This can be
a resume, a picture or video of a performance, etc.
We are not evaluating your work, just making sure that
you're
an artist or arts administrator.
You will also have the opportunity
to submit a link
to a professional webpage or social media account if
more examples of your work are available there.
In order to ensure an equitable distribution of funds, EAI encourages young artists and arts administrators from the following communities to apply for relief funding: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) or Native, transgender, disabled or immunocompromised, and those residing in rural areas. We will accept applications from any emerging artist or arts administrator that meets the eligibility criteria, but will be giving preference to those in these structurally disadvantaged communities.
